Caribou Trail Custom is an independent Montana firm that designs and builds custom solutions for businesses with specialized needs. Our current work centers on private aviation, where we develop and license member platforms and operations software for charter and membership programs.

We work as a long-term partner: we build purpose-fit solutions, maintain them, and structure agreements around each client's operation.

Capabilities

We build and maintain the software an operation runs on — the parts customers touch, the parts staff use, and the systems underneath both.

• Customer applications Member-facing web and native mobile applications, built to reflect how an operation actually sells and serves, rather than forcing the operation to fit generic software.
• Operations tooling Dashboards, scheduling, and dispatch interfaces for the staff who run the day. These are built around existing workflows and the people already doing the work.
• Backend systems Database design, authentication, access control, and the data integrity work that keeps a platform trustworthy as it grows.
• Integrations Connecting new tools to the platforms an operation already depends on, including automated data feeds and reconciliation between systems that were never designed to talk to each other.
• Automated communication Transactional email and notification systems — the confirmations, reminders, and status changes that customers expect to arrive reliably and on time.
• Maintenance and support We operate and maintain what we build. Software is a long-term relationship, not a delivery date.

How we work

CTC develops software and licenses it to the operations that use it. We retain ownership of the underlying code; clients receive a license under terms written for their situation. That arrangement keeps a codebase maintainable over years instead of being rebuilt from scratch each time priorities shift.

We work directly with the people running the operation — no account layer, no handoff between the person who understood the problem and the person writing the software. Engagements are structured around the operation’s own constraints: regulatory requirements, existing systems, and the way the business actually books, schedules, and serves its customers.
